Always glad to help :p

I don't think you'll have too much trouble with comments today wink

The classic pose works here. The back is a bit intruiging as I can't quite tell how much is from the dress and how much from the twist in her body.

Wow! what do you do to discourage comments? 180 views! I guess the number of loyal viewers is a testament to the popularity of your page smile
WOOOAH!
As photographers, dislike this shot, lighting badly done.

As a layman, it's aiiight, she WOOOAH!, but who cares what Suby & Sinem think, the client loves it thats all that matters smile

P.s
Now we don't post so that people will tell us how magnificent we are, we blog purely for the joy of blogging (and also a good marketing tool). So if you blog and you enable the viewers the chance to post up comments, you have to take the positive with the negative and not go on the defence, fight your corner but appreciate the effort the person may have gone through to have the courage to say "I do not like it"

Thank you but that was the effect you was looking for, fine, but still does not mean the viewer will like the image any more.

Not bothered about comments, disable it, but as long as it is here, sometimes people will visit and when the have the courage to say something negative, fight your corner (cool) but appreciate, congratulate, do not attack. KAPISH.

WILL SEND OUR BOYS AROUND NEXT TIME WE FIND YOU CHANCING ANYONE smile
Nigerian Wedding Photographer: Well subs, am sure I have a right to reply comments on here. Comments are fine but they don't hold much weight, (well maybe if its coming from respected photographers, those that know what they are doing with a camera!!!) I wasn't getting defensive, all I said was the client is happy with it, and bad comments on shutterchance does not mean its a bad image, and vice versa.

Comments from you is always welcome Subs, if anything it adds to my comment count. It doesn't hold much weight am afraid as you wouldn't know good lighting if it bit you in the a**s. LOL.
i love the look and the light in the face is very well done
i have been using one iight source, maybe i could have lit her back

Ok Peeps, one of the reasons why I turned off my comments note on my page is because of the lack of context when people are talking about Photographs...

No one in their right mind should say "I dont like this image" and not express the reason why.

I remember when I was in College learning Photography we use to sit down in groups and discuss and critic each others work and the most important element was to apply context to your criticism... I think its something that I noticed is lacking in shutterchance forum. The only few people I know that give constructive criticism based on deep visual intepretation & understanding are the likes of Jide Alakija & Mal.
if i was going to salute anything first, it would be the lighting...so i'm surprised to see such a strong comment from suby

lighting her back will not necessarily make the picture better...only different in mood/style

one thing we have to remember is that comments will forever be subjective as long as humans are making them

even the definition of a good photograph is subjective!

I agree with DRAW...But I also believe that both subjective & objective views needs to be qualified and contextualised.

I'm not a photographer but I think the lighting is fine. What is in the shadows makes it sensual not just sexy and still makes an impact on the viewer.
nicely done, like the play of shapes and curves in this one. thumbs up
