83 views and no comments...guess i'll be the one to say what everyone is thinking...

Its not "good" enough to incite comment but nothing really wrong with it either...
Nigerian Wedding Photographer: Well, I've now got 102 views with just your comment. I am not really bothered bout comments really. This was for a paying client and she has already written me telling me she loves it and as I speak its her profile pic on facebook. Stan common you know some of the worst photographers on shutterchance get the most comments! Thanks anyway!!!!
Intense but yet
Atunbi, quit being so defensive with Stan, he just dropping it like he sees it smile
suby suby, we all know what you do for to get comments on ya blog! I dont think there is anything wrong with ma reply. Client is happy and am not really bothered about comments. FACT!!

Ma profile doesn't even link back to ma blog.

very presumptuous of some folks to think they know what everyone else is thinking or indeed that they can speak for everyone. i like this shot atunbi and my first thought on seeing it was, i'd like to "experience" the atunbi experience.
definitely more comment inciting than shot's that have gotten waayy more comments

i guess stan's comment was a little premature

LOL. Apparently my comment was presumptuous. My view is that if you have lots of views but few comments then the viewers aren't sure what they feel about the image or don't want to hurt your feelings. Very few people hold back from giving praise (in fact in my opinion, people tend to go over the top with praise). Sure, some people just don't comment but thats my interpretation.

The fact that the client liked the photo is all the praise he really needs but that doesn't mean most of the viewers do as well.

Now to apologise for taking over your page....

Oh and to respond to DrAW, I suspect my comment incited more responses than the actual image

Disclaimer: I reserve the right to be wrong smile

Ok Peeps, one of the reasons why I turned off my comments note on my page is because of the lack of context when people are talking about Photographs...

No one in their right mind should say "I dont like this image" and not express the reason why.

I remember when I was in College learning Photography we use to sit down in groups and discuss and critic each others work and the most important element was to apply context to your criticism... I think its something that I noticed is lacking in shutterchance forum. The only few people I know that give constructive criticism based on deep visual intepretation & understanding are the likes of Jide Alakija & Mal.
